I know that I said I DEFINITELY want a white bouquet, but this image of these peonies made me swoon. So dreamy...

Kidding?
I came across this the other day as I was perusing some of my favorite wedding inspiration blogs. I immediately thought of Clint. He has joked with me for years that he wants an armadillo groom's cake (inspired of course by one of his favorite movies- Steel Magnolias). It also happens that his favorite cake is red velvet. The more I think about it, the more I wonder... was he really kidding?
Bachelorette Bliss
This past weekend I ventured down to the Big Easy with a group of girlfriends to celebrate the bachelorette parties of not one, but TWO brides-to-be. Calley and Kelsey are both sorority sisters of mine and are both having summer weddings. The trip was a blast- gorgeous weather and food/cocktails aplenty!

Good Eats
This week has proved to be a little challenging for blogging (since I'm stuck in a team meeting all week listening to presentations and computer-less as the IT guy transfers my data to a new one), BUT the week has gotten off to a good start nonetheless. The weather has warmed up, work has let out a little early each day, and Clint and I have already had a wonderful dinner date with some close friends. For those who know me- you KNOW I love good food, so please indulge me while I recap the meal. To start, Clint had the beef carpaccio with horseradish and arugula and I had the parmesean soufle. For our main courses, I enjoyed the grilled tuna and Clint had the duck breast. For dessert, I splurged on the chocolate budino tart and Clint had the strawberry shortcake. Delish!
Bottega - location of the fine meal and one of my favorite restaurants.
The excellent wine that we enjoyed with dinner.
Hope the rest of the week continues to be just as great!

Comfy, Cozy
I was productive most of the weekend. However, today has been a rainy, gloomy, and cold Sunday. Luckily, I've spent most of the afternoon and evening snuggled up in comfortable p.j.s watching old movies and E!. I love a relaxing and lazy end to the weekend. On the subject of comfort, I started thinking about our reception. Above all- Clint and I want our guests to be comfortable and have a great time. These are a couple of "comfy" ideas for our reception:
Something comfy for the ladies' feet, so they can dance into the wee hours of the morning...
Cozy blankets to wrap up if there's a chill in the spring night air...
Never gets old...

Bouquet
I'm having a tough time committing to a color scheme for my wedding. However, one thing I know for certain is that I want a BIG WHITE bouquet. I also like the idea of attaching some items of importance to me (i.e.- a relative's wedding band and/or handkerchief). I am in love with all of the examples below. There's just something very classic and elegant about a fluffy white bridal bouquet...don't you think?

Big Girl World
Neurotic
It's no secret that I'm an obsessive list-maker. In fact, I have several friends who are as well. I have a "Wal-Mart/Target" list and a "To Do" list running at all times. Recently, I have started keeping a wedding inspiration list, and just a few days ago I started a "Home" list to keep track of everything we need for our new home. On the subject of moving, I also made a list of places where we will need to change our address- talk about overwhelming!
All of that being said, it's not particularly strange to be a list-maker. However, if I do something or complete a task that was not already on my "To Do" list, I will take the time to write it on my list JUST to be able to cross it off. Gives me an even greater feeling of accomplishment :)
Is THAT strange??

A Developing Hobby
Since meeting and getting close to Ashley at http://girlplushorse.blogspot.com/, she has introduced me to a very relaxing and enjoyable hobby: horseback riding! I love gathering "horse knowledge" from her, and I especially love when I get the opportunity to actually spend time with the horses. While on the road recently, we had the chance to not only groom and feed some horses, but we also got to go on a very fun trailride!
