miscellany monday

Howdy friends! I just landed in the Big D (Dallas that is- for any of you who have an aversion to old country songs). My morning started with a 4:00am wake-up and a ridiculously long security line at the airport. Thankfully, the TSA folks moved us through quicker than I would have ever imagined possible, and I made it to my gate with time to spare. A nice cup of joe cured some of my morning grumbles and we were in the air right on schedule.

Ladies and Gents- welcome to my heaven. I was off this past Friday and finally gave Blowout Boutique a try. The slogan here is "We rock what you've got!" and rock it they certainly do. I'm sure many of you have heard about the blow dry bars- no cuts, no color, just blowouts. I was skeptical at first, too. But after one visit I'm a believer. I wish my bank account would allow me to go here on a daily basis. These friendly stylists are serving up way more than great hair. You can have your selection of almost any beverage (Hello Miss Mimosa), sing along to some great girl tunes, or watch your favorite chick-flick as your stylist gets to work making you beautiful. From straight locks, to extra volume, to loose curls, to beachy waves- you pick your look. Such a fun experience! Apparently they also do group rates for more than 5 girls - who's up for a blowout before a girls' night out??

My close high school friend Ashley hosted an impromptu brunch Saturday at her home. We were in Tuscaloosa for A-Day, so it worked perfectly to stop by. She invited a few of my other high school friends, and it was such fun catching up with everyone. Ashley is always an amazing hostess, and as usual, she prepared a delicious spread of food. Thanks again Ashley for having us!

As I mentioned, we headed to Tuscaloosa for A-Day this weekend. It's become a tradition for me, Mr. M, and the Stricklands for several years now, and we always have a great time. In addition, it always falls on or around Candace's birthday, which makes it the perfect event to continue her birthday celebration! Heading back to our stomping ground always fills me with such school pride, and this year was no different. Plus, if you haven't heard, one of our Bama boys was recently in the news for a very kind and thoughtful gesture. Nothing makes you prouder than to see current and former players staying humble!

Speaking of A-Day, check out my awesome souvenirs from our trip. A girl can never have too many elephant shirts!

This is next up on my reading list, and I CANNOT wait! Ladonna, if you are reading this- thank you for the suggestion! I ordered it almost immediately after you told me about it, and I've been spreading the word like crazy. I know of two friends already who have jumped on the bandwagon with me.

Enjoy your Monday!

It is a great idea to know what tools or software they use to get keywords. If the SEO services company asks you for a list of keywords instead and doesn't help you look for keywords using a mix of keyword tools, hiring this company is a bad idea.
