top ten tuesday

This. Is. My. Life.

Until casting actually starts for the upcoming Shades movie, we can all fatasize about who we would we like to have play our favorite characters. That being said, I thought I would try to pick my top casting choices for certain characters. For some characters I have more than one person in mind, but ultimately I've rounded out a list of my TOP TEN SHADES OF GREY CASTING CHOICES.

{TEN}

Christopher Meloni as Taylor

As I was reading, I pictured Taylor as this older, somewhat attractive, crewcut bodyguard. I saw someone else mention that Chris Meloni would be a good fit, and I totally agree. After all, we know from SVU that he can hold a gun and handle a physical role.

{NINE}

Michael Trevino as Jose

I had a hard time with this...mostly because I didn't really ever think much of how I envisioned Jose as I was reading. My first thought was Wilmer Vanderalma, but I think he may be a touch too old. I stumbled across this guy (apparently from the Vampire Diaries") and thought he may make a nice fit.

{EIGHT, SEVEN}

Kim Basinger and Ellen Barkin as Elena aka Mrs. Robinson

Kim is an obvious choice. Hello- it doesn't get much more seductive and sexually confident than Samantha from Sex & The City. But Ellen Barkin also embodies the blonde vixen that I imagine when I think of Elena.

{SIX, FIVE}

Blake Lively or Amanda Seyfried as Kate Kavanaugh

Kate is a blonde bombshell. Smart, confident, beach babe... I immediately think Blake Lively. Although, I have to admit Amanda Seyfried wouldn't be a bad runner up!

{FOUR}

Elizabeth Olsen as Ana Steele

Okay, maybe I'm jumping the gun here since I haven't actually seen one of her movies. And I'll admit that when I first saw that The Huffington Post selected her as the top choice for Ana, I was majorly skeptical. But the more I think about it, the more her "look" grows on me- those piercing eyes. I put her as my runner-up Ana choice because I'm not sure if she's actually a good actress.

{THREE}

Emma Stone as Ana Steele

Granted- I love love LOVE Emma Stone and would like to cast her in everything. BUT- I have valid points for having her as my top choice for Ana Steele. First of all, we KNOW she can do awkward from seeing her in past movies. The actress with need to convey Ana's awkwardness and general lack of confidence and make her seem endearing, without coming off as goofy. Emma would be perfect for this! Plus she has the pale skin and breathtaking eyes that fit the Ana description. While naturally a red-head, she has had brown hair before and can easily pull off that look too. In case the thought didn't immediately occur to you like it did me, I threw in the picture of Emma in the purple dress because it reminded me of the plum dress that Ana favors so much.

As a side note, I've also seen names like Mila Kunis, Felicity Jones, Rooney Mara, Kristin Stewart, Camilla Belle, etc all thrown out as possible good fits for Anastasia.

{TWO}

Chris Hemsworth as Christian

Holy sex-on-a-stick. There's really no other good reason for my selection of Chris as my runner-up Christian other than his striking good looks. He's gorgeous, as any good fit for Christian should be. He's got the shaggy hair, too. Perfect for Ana to run her hands through. Oh my.

{ONE}

Armie Hammer as Christian

Copper hair, strong build, steely gray eyes.... ah- there's my Christian Grey. I know some will disagree, but I think Armie would be an amazing Christian. A few of his acting credits include Gossip Girl and The Social Network. He's got some solid acting experience, is still "young and fresh", and meets the physical requirements of how I envision Christian, and for all of those reasons I would LOVE to see him in this role.

Some other names that I've seen mentioned: Ian Somerhalder (I've seen a LOT about this guy possibly getting the gig), Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Chris Pine, Zach Efron, etc.

Only time will tell...
Let's just hope the Shades movies turn out more like the Hunger Games and less like Twilight.

I'm glad someone finally acknowledged Arnie hammer as a contender for Christian. He was definitely my ideal AND HAVE U HEARD HIS VOICE! I'd love to c him take the role but I think they will give it to Ian since he's desperate for the role. I also saw Elizabeth as Ana. She can pull off the hair she's so cute . A perfect Ana. Don't c that guy as Jose.. I love Kim katrell n Meloni in this film.. awesome choice! I want wait so pumped for this movie!

Armie is definitely an awesome choice for Christian and perhaps even Gabriel Macht but I do think Felicity Jones would make a perfect Ana. She just has that gawkiness that turns out to be incredible beauty. Oh and maybe Blythe Danner as Grace?
